To her, the planets weren’t just symbols—they were storytellers. Quiet, powerful, ancient voices that helped her guide people through life’s chaos with patience and kindness. Long before I ever offered astrology readings or launched Astrology Simplified, I was just a curious child sitting beside her, watching her gently mark birth charts by hand and speak of planets as if they were old friends.

She wasn’t a professional, but she was deeply intuitive and grounded in traditional Vedic astrology. Neighbours would often visit our home, seeking her guidance on marriage, career, health, or just life’s tricky turns. I remember how she would consult her panchang, scribble notes in the margins of old books, and share insights that somehow always felt right.
